Twin Spring mattresses are hybrids of open coil mattresses with double the number of springs spread over two layers for twice the comfort and support.

Each Twin spring system operates by using two sets of independently working springs which are laid on top of each other with a special flexible membrane between the layers to stop them rubbing together and offering progressively firmer support from beneath.  This creates a double height mattress which contains 650 springs (two layers of 325 springs).
